An art scarf inspired by The Metropolitan Museum of Art.
In the summer and fall of 1891, Claude Monet (French, 1840–1926) painted a series of canvases showing the poplar trees along the Epte River, not far from his home in Giverny. He painted the poplars in
The Four Trees
, a detail of which is featured on this neckerchief, from a boat in the middle of the river. His composition accentuates the vertical lines of the slender tree trunks and their reflection in the water.
